Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup
Martin and Sons Maple Syrup aged to perfection in oak barrels. We begin with the same high quality pure maple syrup that we bottle to sell and transfer it into empty oak barrels from Wisconsin distilleries that had been used to age whiskey or rum. The barrels filled with maple syrup are then stored in a cool storage room to allow the syrup to absorb the flavor from the charred barrel walls. This process takes several months, but the end product is worth the wait! When the desired flavor has been achieved, the syrup is heated, filtered, and bottled.
Our barrel-aged maple syrups have unique flavor profiles. They are delicious on traditional breakfast foods like French toast and waffles. We also recommend these syrups be drizzled over yogurt, corn bread, muffins, toast, oatmeal, vanilla ice cream and more (one of our customers recommends drizzling the Whiskey Barrel-Aged Syrup over Apple Crisp). They are excellent additions to glazes for pork and salmon. Indulge yourself. Try them and discover your favorite way to enjoy their unique and delicious flavor!
